Tell it like it is!

Do you think it was easier or harder to be a teenager when your parents were kids? Do they really understand what you are going through?

This is a hard one!

When our parents were younger...I think it was pretty similar to what we are going through now. I may be wrong, though.

There were still bullies and homework and all kinds of other things...so I don't think today is all too much different!

Although Nick makes an excellant point, things have changed since our parents days. These times put kids under much stress and anxiety.
Kids feel the harsh pressure about their looks, attitude, grades, and friends. Although Im sure that our parents have experienced the same discomfort, kids ways have changed. These days there are many more forms of harassment. These days kids witness and know many things that, back then, our parents didn't. On top of the pressure and stress at school, we also recieve it at home. I'm sure that many parents try to comfort their kids, but end up making it worse. Teens these days are more vulnerable to other kinds of harassment these days.

Hmmm. I feel that it was- actually harder for the older generation. Of course everycase varies, but back in the day kids were subjected to drugs and alchohaul as simply a social thing that made them "happier." We get warnings. Back in the day, kids had to have common sense, today you can ONLY be book smart to get somewhere in life. When our parents were kids, they got jobs fast and learned from their misteaks, the hard way, but it stuck with them.

I def. think we have it ''harder''. Only because.. when students come home with homework they go we didnt learn this like this? All confused. Which makes it even harder for us. Thanks for making us have -homework- by the way d:
